Aamir Khan’s ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ to Release Next Year

| Updated: December 6, 2024 17:41

Bollywood Actor Aamir Khan has shared an update on his upcoming film, Sitaare Zameen Par, revealing that it is set to release in cinemas by mid-2025. The new film serves as a sequel to Khan’s 2007 directorial debut, Taare Zameen Par, which earned widespread critical acclaim.

Khan, who has taken a break from acting since the release of his 2022 film Laal Singh Chaddha, announced that the film will enter post-production later this month.

“We will begin post-production later this month and aim to release the film by the middle of next year,” the 59-year-old actor shared with the American news outlet during the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Although “Sitaare Zameen Par” is a sequel to “Taare Zameen Par,” Khan stated that the characters from the first film will not be included in the sequel.

He further said, “It’s a fresh set of characters, completely fresh situation and plot. Thematically, it is a sequel to ‘Taare Zameen Par’. It is saying same things. Actually, it’s a lot more.”

“Taare Zameen Par” depicted the life of Ishaan, a talented eight-year-old. Khan played his art teacher, who learns that the child has dyslexia and assists him in realising his full potential.
