Mukesh Ambani led Jio and World’s fourth-largest semiconductor company MediaTek’s long term partnership is bearing fruits as they have successfully completed an esports tournament featuring the immensely popular game- Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The gaming tournament had a prize money of Rs.12.5 lakh.
The gaming tournament which started on October 30, 2021 received overwhelming response from the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Community in India as over 50,000 registrations were received and 10,000 participants competed in the tournament. Popular steamers from India like Vaadhiyar, Baba Gaming, Copknit and SaiOP saw gamers grind through 4 weekly qualifiers.The BGMI Gaming Masters tournament was broadcasted LIVE on JioGamesWatch, JioGames HD Channel on JioTV, Facebook Gaming, and the JioGames YouTube channel.
The ‘Play and Win Daily’ aspect of the BGMI Gaming Masters tournament ensured players won daily cash prizes and also stood a chance to play against professional teams for the ultimate championship.Total of 412 squads from both casual and professional segments walked away with daily cash prizes in 5 weeks of the tournament.
