Gujarat Government has announced Electric Vehicle Policy, 2021 for the state. Under the policy, every subsidy will be given to the buyers, who have registered their electric vehicles from July 1, 2021. Transport Commissioner said that to avail the benefits of the new policy, the applicant will have to register themselves online on the Gujarat Government portal “Digital Gujarat”. The applicant will have to register themselves along with the registration number of the vehicle, mobile number of the owner, bank account number and IFSC code on the digitalgujarat.gov.in platform. Also, images of the cancelled cheque and the first page of the passbook will have to be uploaded. To avail of the subsidy no fees will have to be paid, added Transport Commissioner.
