Samsung might bid adieu to Android Operating System and replace it with a new Fuchsia OS. Fuchsia is Google’s new operating system and the fact that Samsung has contributed to the development of this Operating System gives air to the reports of it being the chosen OS by the company.
For their recently launched Galaxy Watch 4, Samsung collaborated with Google and got their WearOS. As Samsung with their foldable smartphones is focusing on the premium segment and with their rival Apple offering clean OS with regular security updates and android not that up to the mark compared to the iOS can surely work in favour of the Fuchsia OS.
What’s so special about Fuchsia OS?
* On this OS every app you open is presented in the form of a card and it gives the user an option to open multiple applications on one card.
* It has two different but integrated user interfaces, one is a mobile phone centered while the other one is a traditional desktop UI.
* For Fuchsia OS, cross-platform mobile app development framework flutter is developed by Google so that these applications look the same on different devices like laptops, mobile phones, tabs and other devices.
* The OS is designed in such a way that the security of applications on it is continuously upgraded which not only adds a security layer but also eliminates the incompatibility between apps and system updates.
*To run Google’s shadow heavy material design, it uses Vulkan based image rendering engine ‘Escher’ so that shadow heavy material design can run easily
* It will have best of Chrome OS and Android in a single OS.
