In a recovery mode, after gaining 500 points on Tuesday, the Market gained 600 points today and maintained the positive momentum.
The market closed at 56,930 up 1.09 percent or 611.55 points. The Nifty closed at 16,955 up 1.1 percent or 184.60 points.

Today, the market witnessed 2,434 stocks ending in the green. Winners of the day were Bharti Airtel with 2.67% gain at 684.85, Bajaj finance gained 2.94% at Rs. 6773, Sun Pharma which gained 2.42% at 797.30, Reliance gained 2.42% at Rs. 2365.95 and SBI gained 2.23% at 455.80. Top losers were Nestle India, Wipro and ITC.
On NSE Hindalco, Tata Motors, Divi’s Lab, Eicher Motors and Bajaj Finance were the top gainers.
On Tuesday, the market witnessed 2281 stocks ending in green which emphasised the trust shown by the small investors in the market. As many as 199 securities from small-cap space were seen hitting a 52 week high.
