Gujarat To Face Cold Wave Till December 17: IMD

Gujarat will witness a cold wave till Friday, December 17, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said in an issued warning on Wednesday.  

Forecasting a fall of a minimum of two to three degrees Celsius during the coming three to four days in North Gujarat, Saurashtra, Kutch and Diu, the IMD said that South Gujarat region is not expected to witness a major change in the minimum temperature during this time.

The IMD added that “Severe cold wave conditions are very likely to prevail in the pockets of Kutch district during the coming two days. Also, the cold wave conditions will continue to prevail in districts of Saurashtra, Rajkot, Porbandar and Junagadh for next three days.”

Naliya in Kutch district recorded the lowest of 5 degrees Celsius in the state on Tuesday, December 14. Apart from this, Kandla Airport and Keshod – regions of Saurashtra recorded 10 degrees Celsius Followed by Bhuj and Rajkot – recording 11 degrees Celcius, Kandla port along with Gandhinagar – recording 12 degrees Celsius and Ahmedabad witnessing 14 Degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
