Gujarat BJP MLA Asha Patel from the Unjha assembly constituency died on December 12 while she was undergoing treatment for dengue in Zydus hospital of Ahmedabad.
Reportedly, she was on a ventilator from Friday and passed away of multi-organ failure on Sunday. After her death, her body was taken to Unjha where there is an atmosphere of deep mourning since her demise. ‘
Former deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said that her remains will be taken to Unjha and kept in the market yard as a means of paying tribute. Moreover, her last rites will be held in Siddhpur crematorium at 8 am on December 13, Monday.
Her body will be taken to her village Visol at 8 am followed by a pilgrimage to the village for her final visit.
Some political dignitaries, including former chief minister Vijay Rupani, will attend the funeral of BJP MLA Ashaben.
