Dhanpur police seized about 150 kg of meat from Katara Falia of Panam village in Dhanpur taluka of Dahod district in Gujarat. Police was working on a tip-off. Suspecting the meet to be beef, the police have sent samples for testing.
PSI BM Patel of Dhanpur police station had received information about some persons killing a cow-like animal in the ravines of Katara Falia in Panam village. Based on the information, police staff of Dhanpur police station rushed to the spot and found meat as well as parts of slaughtered animal.
However, the persons responsible for killing the animal fled when the police approached. The feet of the dead animal indicate it to be a cow. The instruments for slaughtering the animal as well as about 150 kg of meat was seized and sent to FSL. It is learnt that action will be taken against the animal killers once the report will come.
