Under CSR Only 7.04% Spent On Heritage Art-Culture

The entire world is celebrating World Heritage Week. Gujarat has three world heritage sites. Champaner-Pavagadh is an archaeological park, Patan’s Rani-ki-Vav and Kutch’s Dholavira archaeological site are three of the archaeologically important sites in Gujarat. Apart from these three sites, India’s first World Heritage City that is Ahmedabad is also in Gujarat.

Public and private sector companies have spent Rs 378.82 crore under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the last 7 years for the promotion of Gujarat’s heritage, arts and culture, which is only 7.04 per cent of the total CSR expenditure. The information comes from data available on the National CSR Data Portal, an initiative of the Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
