The team from the FICCI YFLO Ahmedabad chapter recently hosted an event –
Atelier – to celebrate and respect the craftsmanship of India. The function featured
a beautiful amalgamation of three spectacular performances: Sand Art by ‘India’s Got
Talent’ discovery, sand artist Nitish Bharti; a Kuchipudi dance performance by
celebrity stylist and fashion entrepreneur Pernia Qureshi and a runway show by
fashion designers Shivan and Narresh.
A display of acrylic paintings by the Archer Gallery was displayed at the entrance to
the venue; along with an exhibition of jewellery by Barooque. The event began with
seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha; Supriya Jindal the performers and the chief
guest lit the lamp, followed by a beautiful rendition of Ganesh Stuti.
Nitish Bharti created various sand portraits depicting the essence of states across the
country. He first drew a map of India, which converted into Lord Shiva, the Rajasthan
dunes, garba images, Lord Ganesh (representing Maharashtra), coconut trees (Kerala)
and many more. Bharti summed his magic by thanking the FICCI organisation.
Pernia Qureshi took the stage next for a Kuchipudi performance. She is a trained
dancer under Radha Reddy. Qureshi gave an enchanting performance to the tune of a
traditional song, dressed in a traditional white and gold saree. Finally, a breathtaking
fashion show by designers Shivan and Narresh followed, where the dynamic duo
showcased part of their resort collection, couture series and apparel from a collection
called Nebulous.
All four artists were felicitated by different dignitaries at the event. Mansi Patel,
