Shreyas Foundation founded by Madame Montessori, Manorama Sarabhai and Leelaben Mangaldas in 1947, completes 74 years today.
The institute, located in Ahmedabad’s Shahibaugh, began with twenty children that included some mothers and teachers.
Madame Maria Montessori founded and established the Montessori system of education became
its first president. Leelaben Mangaldas was called the reincarnation of Madame Montessori in India became one of the pioneers of Montessori schools.
The institute focuses on providing a new educational approach to children starting from pre-
kindergarten to grade 7 and a secondary school from grade 8 to 12 in both English and Gujarati
mediums.
