The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency opened fire on an Indian fishing boat named ‘Jalpari’ in Indian waters on Sunday. The incident has left a fisherman dead and another injured. The firing started when Indian fishermen were fishing in Indian waters.
The body of the deceased fisherman has been shifted to Jamnagar for postmortem via Dwarka by Okha Marine Police. The injured fisherman has been shifted to the hospital for treatment. As per the information received so far, the deceased fisherman is identified as Shridhar, the fishing boat has been brought to Okha at present and the matter has been reported by Okha Marine Police and the investigation is underway.
According to preliminary information, Shridhar is a resident of Thane in Maharashtra and the boat – ‘Jalpari’ is owned by Nanji Bhai Rathod, who lives in Madhavad village of Kodinar in Gir-Somnath district of Gujarat.
