Seeking the fulfillment of a ‘promise’ made to the Kshatriya community, BJP MLA from Savli constituency in Vadodara – Ketan Inamdar has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi and Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel on Monday. He has sought to fulfill the ‘promise’ made on setting up a museum near the Statue of Unity devoted to the 562 princely states that signed the accession treaty to join independent India.
Inamdar, in his letter, said that despite the sureties given by PM Modi for setting up the museum, the delay has “hurt the sentiments” of the Kshatriya community.
“… during the inauguration of the Statue of Unity, PM Narendra Modi had talked about the sacrifices of the erstwhile princely states and announced a museum to be built to keep alive their contribution to the nation-building. But due to certain unknown causes, there has been a delay in erecting the proposed museum. The Kshatriya Rajput community has expressed that their sentiments have therefore been hurt…” the letter read.
The letter added, “The land allocated for the museum is small in size. I request you to take a personal interest in fulfilling this promise to respect the emotions and requests of the Kshatriya community and not only to accelerate the project but to erect it as a grand museum.
