A 13-year-old boy, Pravin Rathod, was allegedly murdered by three teenagers in Bela village of Rapar taluka, Kutch, after he refused to share access to his Free Fire gaming ID.
According to reports, Pravin was playing with his friends near the Bileshwar Mahadev temple on Wednesday when the attack occurred.
One of the accused reportedly restrained Pravin while the other two stabbed him multiple times with a sharp weapon, resulting in his death.
Pravin’s body, bearing severe injuries to the neck, hands, and abdomen, was discovered in a garden adjacent to the temple. He was rushed to Rapar Government Hospital, where he was declared dead.
The local police has detained all three accused minors. Family members and police officials, including Bhachau Deputy Superintendent of Police, visited the crime scene.
Initial findings suggest that the motive for the attack was a dispute over a Free Fire Pro ID, a premium gaming profile often obtained through purchases.
According to media reports, police sources confirmed that the victim and the accused were relatives who regularly played games together.
Further investigation is currently underway.
