The Uttar Pradesh government’s cabinet witnessed seven new ministers take the oath of office on Sunday, September 26 and get inducted in Yogi Adityanath’s cabinet. Of the seven, one was Jitin Prasada, who switched from Congress to BJP in June 2021.
The swearing-in ceremony was conducted at 6 pm on Sunday, administered by Uttar Pradesh’s Governor Anandiben Patel.
The first to be sworn in was Jitin Prasada, who became an MLA for the first time in 2004. His father Jitendra Prasad was a veteran Congress leader. Jitin is considered to be the most important Brahmin leader of the BJP led government.
Chhatrapal Gangwar, who is the MLA of Bahedi in Bareilly, was second in line. He won his first assembly election in 2007. He also won the assembly elections in 2017. He has been a district minister in the BJP-led government.
Palturam has also been included in the cabinet. He comes from the Scheduled Tribes. He has become an MLA for the first time from Balrampur, UP.
Dr Sangeeta Balwant Bind is the current MLA in Ghazipur Sadar. In 2017, she won the assembly elections for the first time, won the district panchayat elections in 2005. She is considered a well-known leader from the backward class.
Sanjay Gond became an MLA for the first time in 2017 from Obra.
Dinesh Khatik, a member of the cabinet, is an MLA from Hastinapur in Meerut. He was elected to the 17th Legislative Assembly. He is the Scheduled Caste leader of the party.
Dharmaveer Prajapati is a resident of Agra and a member of the Legislative Council. He has taken a big responsibility in the state BJP.
