In Juhapura’s Fatehwadi neighbourhood of Ahmedabad, a clash between two groups over a business issue on Saturday resulted in the death of a young man.
Vejalpur police has detained 11 people in connection with the altercation, in which six others were injured.
Since weapons were used during the altercation, which occurred around 9.30 pm on Saturday, the deceased, identified as Nawazish Shaikh, succumbed to stab wounds.
According to the police inquiry, this dispute was caused by a longstanding economic rivalry between Sartajn Salim Shaikh and Zulfikar Shaikh.
Police has registered cross-complaints.
