Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 continues to dominate the box office, showing no signs of slowing down. On Tuesday, the film earned an impressive Rs 36 crore from its Hindi version, bringing its total earnings to Rs 375 crore. According to trade expert Taran Adarsh, Pushpa 2 has firmly established itself as a blockbuster after achieving remarkable weekday performance on Monday and Tuesday.
He noted, “Pushpa 2 is an unstoppable force… Its performance over the past week, especially on weekdays, has been extraordinary, solidifying its status as a blockbuster. With its stronghold through the weekdays, the film is expected to cross the Rs 400 crore mark on Wednesday, becoming the fastest film to reach this milestone.”
Looking ahead, Adarsh predicts that the absence of major new releases this Friday will propel Pushpa 2 to even greater heights in its second weekend, potentially pushing it into the Rs 500 crore club. The film is also on track to surpass the Rs 1000 crore mark globally, surpassing last year’s hits like Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, Pathaan and Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2.
Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, Pushpa 2 opened to massive box office numbers. NDTV’s film critic, Saibal Chatterjee, noted that the film’s climax mirrors the intensity of the first, with Pushpa adopting the persona of Kali once again. Chatterjee also pointed to the upcoming Pushpa Part 3, which will be titled Pushpa: The Rampage.
Pushpa 2 – The Rule is directed by Sukumar, produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers, in association with Sukumar Writings. The film stars Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Dhanunjay, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Ajay Ghosh.
