Two-time Olympic medalist and badminton star PV Sindhu is set to marry Hyderabad-based Venkata Datta Sai, an executive director at Posidex Technologies, on December 22 in Udaipur.
Speaking to the media, Sindhu’s father, PV Ramana, shared that both families have known each other for some time and about a month ago, decided to plan the wedding by the end of December, ahead of Sindhu’s busy schedule in January 2025.
The wedding celebrations will start on December 20, with the ceremony on December 22 in Udaipur, followed by a reception in Hyderabad on December 24.
Who is Venkata Datta Sai?
As per Venkata Datta Sai’s LinkedIn profile, he has always been fascinated by technology and its transformative potential.
He has a Diploma in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the Foundation of Liberal and Management Education, a BBA in Accounting and Finance from Flame University and a Master’s degree in Data Science and Machine Learning from IIIT Bangalore.
His career began with interning for JSW Group, being an in-house consultant. Afterwards, he was the managing director at Sour Apple Asset Management and later, Executive Director at Posidex since 2019.
Meanwhile, PV Sindhu, who was recently awarded the Padma Shri, has had notable achievements, including winning the Syed Modi International badminton tournament, where she triumphed over China’s Wu Luo Yu 21-14, 21-16 in a 47-minute match.
This marks her third victory at the tournament, having previously won in 2017 and 2022.
The former world champion’s last title came in July 2022 at the Singapore Open. In the ongoing 2024 season, she reached the final of the Malaysia Masters Super 500 before breaking her success slump in Lucknow.
