Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to watch the film The Sabarmati Report at 4 pm today at the Balyogi Auditorium within the Parliament complex.
The 2002 Godhra train fire, which caused massive unrest across Gujarat, is explored in this Dheeraj Sarna-directed movie.
The horrific incidents that occurred during the crisis have often been associated with PM Modi, who was the state’s chief minister at the time.
PM Modi previously conveyed his appreciation for the film. In response to a tweet about the Vikrant Massey-starrer, which explores the events preceding the Godhra tragedy, he posted on X: “Well said. It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it. A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period of time. Eventually, the facts will always come out!”
On Monday, Vikrant Massey, the lead actor, announced a break from filming, stating that it was time to “recalibrate” and go back to his home. Only a few weeks have passed since the release of his latest movie, “The Sabarmati Report.”

Massey claimed to have received death threats on social media throughout the film’s promotion, which premiered on November 15. But he was unconcerned, stating that the film is “purely based on facts.”
