In celebration of its 100th anniversary, the Ahmedabad District Co-operative Bank Limited (ADC Bank) has announced rollout of 700 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives across 700 villages within its operational region. The centenary event took place on Sunday at Rajpath Club, Ahmedabad, where Chairman Ajay Patel highlighted the bank’s milestone achievements, including a business volume exceeding Rs 17,000 crore and a record-breaking profit of over Rs 100 crore in the financial year 2023-24, setting a new standard in the cooperative banking sector.

In his address, Patel emphasised that ADC Bank offers loans at the most competitive rates in Gujarat, making essential financing more accessible to its communities. Additionally, he discussed health camps that are part of the bank’s centenary celebrations, aimed at supporting local communities.

Speaking with Vibes of India about the bank’s centenary initiatives, Patel remarked, “ADC Bank is launching several service initiatives in both urban and rural areas of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar as part of its social responsibility in celebration of its centenary year. These services began on October 4, 2024 and will be implemented in phases over the next 180 days, concluding on March 31, 2025, through a range of programmes.”

Patel also outlined the bank’s strategic vision to align with the Central Government’s ambition of reaching a $5 trillion economy, emphasising ADC Bank’s commitment to this goal. He credited Union Home Minister and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah for his pivotal role in transforming the bank from a loss-making entity into a highly profitable cooperative institution.

Ajay Patel, who took on the role of chairman in 2003, has since guided ADC Bank through significant growth, including a landmark net profit of Rs 100 crore in the 2023-24 fiscal year.

The bank’s centenary celebrations were formally inaugurated by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on October 4, 2024. Currently, ADC Bank serves a wide region, operating across 13 talukas in Ahmedabad district and throughout the city of Ahmedabad, supporting both urban and rural communities.
