In a special coordinated operation on Sunday, cocaine valued at Rs 5,000 crore was confiscated from Ankleshwar in Gujarat.
A joint team of Delhi Police and Gujarat Police conducted a raid on the premises of Aavkar Drugs Limited in Ankleshwar, resulting in the seizure of 518 kg of drugs.
The drugs that were found have a market value of more than Rs 5,000 crore.
In two recent raids, the Delhi Police Special Cell seized around 700 kg of cocaine from the national capital.
On October 1, 500 kg of cocaine was found in Mahipalpur, South Delhi; two days later, 200 kg of cocaine was found during a raid in the Ramesh Nagar neighbourhood.
Authorities discovered that the drugs originated from Avkar Drugs Limited in Gujarat and belonged to a business called Pharma Solution Services.
At present, the case has led to seized items valued at Rs 13,000 crore, comprising 1,289 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of Thai hydroponic marijuana.
