In a shocking and heart-wrenching incident, a primary school principal in a village in Dahod has been accused of raping and murdering a six-year-old girl. The crime, which occurred two days ago, has questioned the law and order situation in the present Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled state.
Gujarat Congress President Shaktisinh Gohil has condemned the act, revealing that the accused principal, who claims to be a social reformer, has ties to the RSS and BJP ideologies.
“The principal’s involvement with the BJP during elections, suggests that this incident reflects the broader ideology of the BJP and RSS,” he alleged.
According to Gohil, the principal approached the girl’s mother, stating, “I am going to school, send your daughter with me.”
Trusting the principal, the mother allowed her first-grade daughter to accompany him. However, the principal allegedly raped the young girl and, when she screamed and cried, strangled her to death.
“He then brought her body to the school, kept it near a wall behind the classroom, and left her bag outside before fleeing the scene,” he further specified.
Fifty-five-year-old Govind Natt, the school principal, was arrested on September 22.
The only noteworthy statement that can be said to have come from the BJP is that of education minister Kuber Dindor. While condemning what happened, he said they would ensure that such crimes are not repeated.
Similarly, Akash Bhagwan Bhai, a BJP leader in Vadodara, entered the house of a married woman and raped her and then threatened to kill her, the Gujarat Congress president alleged adding criminals and miscreants are becoming BJP members after which they seem to get a licence to commit such heinous crimes.
Referring to another incident, he said that in Mehsana also, a man in the name of Tantra-Mantra Vidya trapped and raped a minor. He alleged that the BJP Yuva Morcha general secretary Gaurav was found accused in the case of rape of a minor, who is now in jail.
Gohil Slams PM Modi
In a scathing attack, the Congress President also criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, questioning his silence on the matter.
“PM Modi has visited 23 countries but has not gone to Manipur. This is Gujarat, from where you have risen, and it is the votes of the people here that have brought you to this position. Why haven’t you spoken about this yet?” he demanded.
The Congress leader further accused the BJP of targeting vulnerable individuals in hospitals and schools to recruit them as party members.
He pointed out that actress Kangana Ranaut, now a Lok Sabha MP, should be the first to respond to such incidents, given her direct connection to PM Modi.
He challenged the BJP to expel her if they disagree with her statements, asserting that his party would have taken such action.
