The Gujarat government has decided to incorporate specific provisions for the regulation of Gaming Activity Areas in the CGDCR due to their increasing popularity as well as the necessity for public safety, security and welfare.
Gaming zones housed within commercial buildings and independent gaming zones are subject to different development requirements.
Road width, minimum space, building height, parking, safety precautions and several NOCs needed for the construction of gaming activity zones are all included in the rules that Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel had introduced in the CGDCR.
In order to ensure public safety, standards also require separate entry and departure points, emergency exits and refuge places for independent gaming activities. The BU certificate, the Fire NOC and all other licenses, certificates, permits and NOCs that are required to be displayed in the gaming zone have been made apparent.
The new regulation additionally states that any previously obtained development permissions or BU certificates must be revised in accordance with the new rules before commencing construction.
In accordance with the new CGDCR regulations, the Chief Minister has further specified penalties for the unapproved commencement of activities, such as starting operations without the required authorisation.
