The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Bharuch and Surat for Tuesday. It has forecast heavy rains at isolated places in Gujarat.
The IMD has also issued an orange alert for Narmada, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Daman, Valsad and Dadra Nagar Haveli.
Yellow alert is in place for Anand, Panchmahals, Dahod, Vadodara, Chhotaudepur, Amreli and Bhavnagar. Rains in Vadodara since morning have led to scare amongst the citizens as the city was recently battered by man-made floods.
For September 4, the IMD has issued an orange alert in Banaskantha, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Kutch, Dadra Nagar Haveli. Heavy to very heavy rain has been forecast in Patan, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mehsana, Surat, Dangs. Tapi, Surendranagar and Morbi. There is a yellow warning for these districts.
Banaskantha, Patan, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli and Kutch are under yellow alert on September 5. Heavy rains have been forecast here.
For September 6 and 7 heavy rains have been forecast at isolated places. These are likely in South Gujarat.
