Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya had an interaction with the National Youth Awardees and National Service Scheme (NSS) Awardees in New Delhi on Wednesday.

The meeting was aimed to laud the accomplishments of these young leaders and discuss methods to enhance the MY Bharat platform, ensuring it becomes more accessible and advantageous to the youth of India.

Mandaviya acknowledged the outstanding efforts of the awardees, who come from various states across India and have made major contributions in diverse areas such as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Climate Change, Urban Planning, Youth Empowerment, and Drug Abuse Prevention, among others.

He underlined that in order to create a strong future for the nation at large, it is critical to identify and develop young talent. “The youth of India are our future decision-makers, and I am excited about our collective journey towards empowering them,” Mandaviya said.

The subject of creative and collaborative ideas for positive youth involvement on the MY Bharat platform occupied a large portion of the discussion.

Mandaviya had invited suggestions from the awardees on how to make the platform more interactive, informative, and engaging. The proposals put up by the recipients included adding more digital tools, turning it into a centralised location for all youth-related projects, and setting up internship and mentorship programmes to help budding young leaders.

Mandaviya encouraged ongoing communication between the Ministry and the youth in order to guarantee that the demands and goals of the younger generation of Indians are adequately addressed.

Mandaviya reaffirmed the government’s resolve to use a range of initiatives and plans to empower young people. A shared goal to establish the MY Bharat platform as a pillar for youth development and engagement emerged from the discussion.

Senior officials of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports as well as the Secretary of the Department of Youth Affairs had attended the meeting.
