An accident occurred early morning on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Express Highway near Anand, involving a luxury bus and a truck, resulting in the death of six people and injuries to around eight others. The death toll is expected to increase.
As per the reports, at 4 am, a truck collided with the rear of a parked bus after its tyre burst. The bus overturned on people sitting on the divider, resulting in six fatalities and eight injuries.
Emergency services, including local police, the fire brigade and a 108 emergency team, promptly arrived at the scene. The injured were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The private bus was en route from Maharashtra to Rajasthan when the accident occurred. Anand (Rural) police have launched an investigation, but the identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed.
