The alert signifies the likelihood of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in select areas. IMD forecasts indicate that most parts of the state will experience heavy rains over the next five days until July 17th.
Alert Levels:
- Red Alert Districts: Navsari, Valsad, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli face the highest risk, with heavy to very heavy rains expected in isolated pockets and the potential for extremely heavy downpours within 24 hours.
- Orange Alert Districts: Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Tapi, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir, Somnath and Diu fall under this category, anticipating substantial rainfall during this period.
- Yellow Warning Areas: Arvalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Chotta Udaipur, Surendranagar, Rajkot, Junagadh, Botad and Kutch are on alert for heavy rains.

- July 14th: Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Somnath and Diu are under an orange alert, expecting heavy to very heavy rain.
- July 15th: Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Somnath and Diu remain on orange alert, while Narmada, Bharuch, Tapi, Surendranagar, Rajkot, Porbandar, Junagadh and Botad receive a yellow alert.

Meanwhile, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Chotta Udaipur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surendranagar, Rajkot, Dwarka, Botad and Porbandar are under an orange alert.
- July 17th: Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Dwarka, Gir, Somnath and Diu will be on red alert, while Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Rajkot and Jamnagar face an orange alert.
