Daman experienced very heavy rainfall on Thursday, while isolated heavy showers were reported in Anand, Surat, Valsad and Navsari. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast predicting heavy to very heavy rain in some parts of Gujarat over the next 24 hours, with light to moderate rain expected across the state.

IMD’s latest bulletin has placed an orange alert for Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli, indicating heavy to very heavy rains in the next 24 hours.
Yellow warnings have been issued for Banaskantha, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Ahmedabad, Anand, Narmada, Bharuch, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Botad and Diu, where heavy rain is anticipated.
- July 13: Heavy rains are likely at isolated places in South Gujarat, including Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli.
- July 14: Similar conditions are expected in South Gujarat, particularly in Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli.
- July 15: Heavy rains are forecasted for South Gujarat, including Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli.
- July 16: An orange alert has been issued for Navsari, Valsad, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli, with heavy to very heavy rains expected. In Saurashtra, very heavy rains are forecasted for Amreli and Bhavnagar.
Meanwhile, heavy rains are likely at isolated places in Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang and Tapi and in Saurashtra regions including Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Botad and Diu.
