Two children lost their lives and several others were injured when a bus carrying 65 passengers veered off the highway and overturned in Gujarat’s Dang district on Sunday. The accident occurred on a national highway approximately 2 kilometres from the hill town of Saputara.
According to local authorities, the ill-fated bus was transporting tourists from Surat who had embarked on a visit to Saputara. As the bus attempted to overtake another vehicle, it breached the protective barrier and toppled over around 5:00 PM on Sunday.
Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene, rushing the injured to medical facilities. While three passengers received treatment at a private hospital, others were taken to a nearby community health centre.
