Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Saturday said that Russia anticipates Prime Minister Narendra Modi making a “very important and full-fledged visit” to Moscow, which is critical for Russian-Indian relations.
At Russian President Vladimir Putin’s request, Prime Minister Modi will attend the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit in Moscow from July 8 to 9.
Announcing the high-level visit on Thursday in New Delhi, the Ministry of External Affairs stated that the two leaders will discuss the whole range of multifaceted ties between the two nations and share views on current regional and global problems of mutual concern.
Prime Minister Modi will have a packed schedule in Moscow, and he will have the opportunity for informal meetings with President Putin, according to a statement made by Peskov to Russia’s media houses.
“Obviously, the agenda will be extensive, if not to say overbusy. It will be an official visit, and we hope that the heads will be able to talk in an informal way as well,” he said.
