In its latest bulletin, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy to very heavy rain in Gujarat on July 5th and 6th. However, from July 7th onwards, the intensity of rainfall is expected to decrease, with only light to moderate rain anticipated until July 11th.
Today, several districts are under an orange alert due to the heavy rainfall. These districts include Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli. Residents in these areas should be prepared for heavy to very heavy rains at isolated places.
Additionally, other districts such as Patan, Mehsana, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Surendranagar, Rajkot, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Morbi and Botad can expect heavy rainfall. The remaining districts are likely to experience light to moderate rain.
On July 6th, isolated places in the Gujarat region, specifically Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad and Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli, are expected to receive heavy rains.
From July 7th to July 11th, all 33 districts of Gujarat should prepare for light to moderate rainfall.
