The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather bulletin forecasting heavy rainfall across various regions of Gujarat from July 1 to July 4. The active monsoon is expected to bring significant precipitation, with light to moderate rains anticipated throughout the state during this period.
Red Alerts:
- The following areas are under red alerts due to warnings of heavy to very heavy rainfall:
- Surat
- Navsari
- Valsad
- Daman
- Dadra and Nagar Haveli
- Jamnagar
- Porbandar
- Junagadh
- Dwarka
- Kutch
- Some regions may experience extremely heavy showers today.
Orange Alerts:
- The districts of Banaskantha, Patan, Panchmahal, Dahod, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Dangs, Tapi, Rajkot, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Morbi, and Gir Somnath are under orange alerts, indicating heavy to very heavy rains.
Yellow Alerts:
- Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Mahisagar, Surendranagar, Botad, and Diu are on yellow alert, anticipating heavy rainfall.
Specific Dates:
- On July 2nd, isolated areas in Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Dwarka, and Kutch are likely to experience very heavy rainfall. Other districts in the state will also receive heavy rains.
- July 3rd will bring very heavy rains to South Gujarat, including Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Banaskantha, Patan, Panchmahal, Dahod, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Dangs, and Tapi. Saurashtra regions such as Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Dwarka, Gir Somnath, Kutch, and Diu will also be affected.
- On July 4th, isolated places in South Gujarat (Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, and Dadra Nagar Haveli) and Saurashtra regions (Amreli and Bhavnagar) can expect heavy rainfall.
