The Adani Group’s blood donation drive, organized to celebrate Chairman Gautam Adani’s 62nd birthday, collected an impressive 24,500 units of blood (equivalent to nearly 9,800 liters). This significant contribution has the potential to benefit more than 73,500 patients. Notably, this year’s collection surpassed the previous year’s achievement of 20,621 units.
The blood donation drive was conducted simultaneously in 152 cities across 21 states on Monday, with enthusiastic participation from Adani employees. Guided by the Adani Healthcare team, the initiative received an overwhelming response.
Dr. Priti Adani, Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, expressed gratitude to every member of the Adani family for their generous contributions. She emphasized that their dedication not only demonstrated compassion but also reinforced the collective commitment to serving those in need.
The collected blood will be utilized to help patients through various components, including whole blood, packed cell volume (PCV), platelet concentrates, plasma, fresh frozen plasma (FFP), cryoprecipitate, and albumin.
The blood donation drive was organized in collaboration with the blood banks of the Red Cross and government hospitals. A dedicated team of over 2,000 doctors, paramedics, data operators, and Adani company staff played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of this noble endeavor.
Since 2011, the Adani Foundation has consistently organized an annual blood donation drive to commemorate the Group Chairman’s birthday. Additionally, the foundation’s positive impact extends to 6,769 villages across 19 states, benefiting approximately 9.1 million lives.
