Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, expressed his gratitude to pop icon Taylor Swift after attending her Eras Tour opening night in London. The Prince marked his 42nd birthday by celebrating at the Wembley concert, accompanied by his children—Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (9), and Prince Louis (6). The royal family was joined by Prince William’s cousin, Zara Tindall and her husband, Mike Tindall.
In a heartwarming gesture, Prince William shared a picture on his official social media handle, capturing the moment when Taylor Swift took a selfie with him and his children. His caption read, “Thank you @taylorswift13 for a great evening! #LondonTSTheErastour.”
The Prince’s enthusiasm extended beyond the concert itself. A viral video surfaced, showing Prince William dancing energetically to Swift’s hit song “Shake It Off.” Fans couldn’t help but share their amusement, with one user exclaiming, “I am sorry but Prince William dancing to ‘Shake It Off’ has me wheeeeeezing.”
Adding to the musical ambiance, the Royal Guards played an instrumental version of Taylor’s iconic track during the festivities.
Taylor Swift reciprocated the warm sentiments, sharing a photo on her Instagram featuring the Royal family. Her caption read, “Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start.” The snapshot also included her boyfriend, NFL player Travis Kelce.
For those unaware, this isn’t the first time Prince William has crossed paths with Taylor Swift. Back in 2013, he shared the stage with her and Jon Bon Jovi for a charity performance at Kensington Palace.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift is set to perform three gigs in London this weekend, continuing to captivate audiences with her music and memorable live shows.
