Rapper Travis Scott found himself behind bars in Miami-Dade County Jail on Thursday morning. According to county jail records, Scott was arrested due to disorderly intoxication and trespassing, despite repeated warnings.
The incident unfolded at 12:44 am at the Miami Beach Marina, where officers from the Miami Beach Police Department responded to a disturbance call involving individuals fighting on a charter boat. Scott’s behavior on the boat had drawn attention, and authorities detected a strong smell of alcohol on his breath.
An officer instructed Scott to leave the dock, cautioning him that returning would lead to arrest. Scott initially complied but soon resumed yelling and causing disturbances. Approximately five minutes later, he defied the officers’ demands, leading to his arrest at 4:35 am local time.
A source revealed, “He was drunk, causing a disturbance and asked to leave multiple times.” WSVN News in Miami reported that Scott “became irate, screaming profanities, left, and returned to disturb some more.”
After being taken into custody, Scott paid a $500 bond for the disorderly intoxication charge and an additional $150 for trespassing. His release followed shortly thereafter.
Notably, in November 2021, Scott faced tragedy during his Astroworld festival in Houston, where a crowd surge resulted in ten deaths and numerous injuries. Although he was not charged in connection with the incident, ongoing investigations continue. All wrongful death lawsuits related to the Astroworld tragedy have been settled.
