The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has projected rainfall for most places in Gujarat on Tuesday. Over 9 inches of rain fell in Khambaliya, Dwarka district, in the last 24 hours, among other places in the state.
With the exception of four districts—Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, and Sabarkantha—light to moderate rain is very likely to fall today, according to the latest IMD bulletin.
For today (June 18), light thunderstorms with lightning and surface winds of 30–40 kmph (in gusts) along with light to moderate rain are projected at isolated places in districts including Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, Daman-Diu, Dadara Nagar Haveli, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and Botad.
Districts including Kheda, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadara Nagar Haveli, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and Diu are expected to see similar weather on June 19.
Light to moderate rain is predicted in isolated areas of several districts, including Kheda, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, Dadara Nagar Haveli, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and Daman-Diu. Light thunderstorms with lightning are also predicted for June 20.
A few places, including Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, and Daman and Dadara Nagar Haveli, are expected to have light to moderate rain or thundershowers on June 21. Certain isolated locations in the districts of Saurashtra, such as Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and Diu, may receive light to heavy rainfall or thunderstorms.
