Dhavalsinh Jhala, the independent MLA from Bayad in Gujarat, has made a sensational claim that a bogus government office is functioning in a private place in Modasa. He has alleged that a fake irrigation office is running in Tirupati Raj Bungalows. He has claimed that present and retired officials of the irrigation department are running this racket.
After the complaint of the MLA, the District authorities and police raided the location. Deputy DDO along with one PI and one PSI searched. One almirah was found with documents with around 50 rubber stamps of engineers of different taluks, letterheads, blank bills, blank books, a printer, and a computer. The police have seized the material for further investigation.
The MLA claimed that the fake office has been running in the Aravalli district for the last 3 years. He asked the government to dig deeper into the issue and drew the attention of the Collector and the SP.
Meanwhile, the retired officer, PM Damor, has said that the officers have come to seek his guidance as he is unwell. He has said that the stamps found are old, from the time he was in service. He has maintained that there has been no wrongdoing.
Recently, a fake government office that defrauded the government for several crores was busted at Bodeli in Chhota Udepur.
