Former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is frustrated and makes utterances that do not befit a Prime Minister.
He told media persons in Ahmedabad that the Prime Minister has got an idea after the second phase of polling and now he is frustrated.
Alleging that there is nothing to talk about in the BJP’s manifesto, Ghelot questioned why the Prime Minister was interpreting the Congress’ manifesto.
The Congress leader observed that the party has come out with the best manifesto that is a manifestation of Rahul Gandhi’s yatras.
Commenting on Modi Guarantee, Gehlot said Acche Din, doubling farmers’ income, and getting black money back were also his guarantees. What happened to that, he asked.
Gehlot also alleged that the BJP has torn the Constitution to shreds. He also alleged that the CBI and the ED are misused. Two chief ministers are in jail.
Replying to a question on the PM saying at one of the public meetings in Gujarat that the Congress is now doing “vote jehad”, Gehlot observed that this is the sign of a frustrated person.
About Modi’s move of bringing in the reference to Pakistan in the poll campaign, Gehlot said he (the PM) does not know what he is saying.
The Congress leader said that the Election Commission of India showing an increase in the voting percentage after a few days is an issue to worry about.
On the ongoing Kshartiya protests in Gujarat, Gehlot said the BJP is not able to hold meetings and extra police force has to be deployed when Modi and Union Home MInister Amit Shah are addressing meetings.
