Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the government has announced a major reshuffle in the police department. A total of 10 Indian Police Service (IPS) and 2 State Police Services (SPS) officers have been appointed to various posts today.
Sharad Singhal has been appointed as the Joint Commissioner of Police (JCP) of the Ahmedabad Crime Branch. Gagandip Gambhir will now serve as the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Admin. Niraj Badgujar has been assigned the role of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of sector-1 in Ahmedabad. Raghvendra Vats takes charge as the JCP of the Surat Crime Branch.
Chaitanya Mandlik has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police (SP) of CID Crime. Manish Singh will now serve as the SP of Gandhinagar MT. Usha Rada has been appointed at the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) group-6 at Mudeti in Sabarkantha. Ajit Rajian is the new Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Crime in Ahmedabad city. Dr. Lavina Sinha has been appointed as the DCP of Ahmedabad city Cyber Crime.
Himanshu Verma has been appointed as the DCP Zone-1 in Ahmedabad. Bharti Pandya will now serve as the SP of Technical Service in Gandhinagar. Rupal Solanki has been appointed as the Director General of Police (DGP) staff officer in Gandhinagar.
