In response to Union minister and former actress Smriti Irani’s recent claim about how she landed the role of ‘Tulsi’ in ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, the show’s producer Ektaa Kapoor said her statement was untrue.
In an interview, Smriti had claimed that an astrologer present in Ektaa’s office had recommended her for the role. However, Ektaa, took to her own Instagram story to counter Smriti’s claim.

On Instagram, Ektaa reshared the video featuring Smriti Irani discussing her journey to land the role. Ektaa captioned it as, “NOT TRUE!!!! MONISHA. GOT UR. AUDITION. WE SAW. CHOSE IN ONE SECOND!!!”
In the interview, Smriti had shared that she landed the role of ‘Tulsi’ because of an astrologer. She said that it didn’t happen because of her personality or anything else. An astrologer was sitting in Ektaa’s office who was apparently a face reader. He apparently told Ektaa that Smriti would be a big name in the country.
During a previous interview, Smriti had revealed that it was only years later that she found out about astrologer Janardhan’s prediction.
