In a humorous turn of events, a man from Gujarat found himself on an unplanned journey aboard the Vande Bharat Express. The incident occurred when he was merely trying to assist his wife with her luggage.
The story was shared by a woman known as @imkosha on social media, who detailed her parents’ early morning train ride from Vadodara to Mumbai. According to Kosha, her father, like many others, was helping his wife settle into her seat comfortably with her two large bags.
However, the routine drop-off took a surprising twist. The automated doors of the train began to beep and closed before her father could exit, trapping him inside the moving train. Despite his attempts to alert the Ticket Collector and request an emergency stop, the train had already picked up speed.
In a humorous twist, both her parents ended up traveling on the Vande Bharat Express for the first time. Her mother was en route to Mumbai, while her father was headed to the next station, Surat, in his night attire, hoping to find a return ticket to Vadodara.
Kosha shared a snapshot of her parents on the train, with her father humorously captioning it in Gujarati, “Experiencing both Vande Bharat and Shatabdi in a single day,” referring to it as a ‘premium journey.’
The post quickly went viral, eliciting laughter and comments from netizens. One user remarked, “Being 50yr+ and still having adventures in life is what I want!!” Another joked, “Your dad must have been looking forward to his bachelor life, and he got this.”
The incident sparked a wave of shared experiences, highlighting that such encounters with automated doors are not as rare as one might think.
