Anushka Sharma was absent during the Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru (CSK vs RCB) match which took place last Friday. The match was the IPL 2024 season opener.
The power couple, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, welcomed their son, Akaay Kohli, last month. While Anushka is naturally spending more time at home with her children, she may make her first appearance since her son’s birth during an RCB match soon.
Anushka might plan to return to India since her son is nearly one-and-a-half months old. Newborns are allowed to travel by air a month after their birth. Akaay was born on February 15 and is currently in London along with his mother and sister, Vamika Kohli.
Anushka has been the strongest supporter of Virat and it is unlikely that she will not attend a match in IPL 2024 to cheer him, sources said.
Anushka’s second pregnancy was kept a close secret. Though she was seen with a baby bump during the World Cup 2023 series, she chose not to confirm rumours.
She eventually confirmed she welcomed a baby boy in February issuing a statement. “With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay and Vamika’s little brother into this world!” Anushka and Virat announced.
“We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time,” they added.
