Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has given the nod for the construction of a flyover at the Panjrapol junction in the Ambawadi area. It is understood that the much-anticipated work order will shortly be issued to the chosen company tasked with the project.
The standing committee greenlit the proposal for constructing the flyover at a cost of Rs 78.61 crore on Thursday, which is 29% higher than the estimated cost of Rs 62 crore. The project will be financed using a state government grant of Rs 185 crore earmarked for this venture and another flyover at the Panchvati junction. The government has allowed AMC to utilise Rs 86 crore specifically for the Panjrapol junction flyover.
