Today was the second day of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra in Gujarat. Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra started at eight o’clock this morning from Dahod bus stand. From there it went through Vivekananda Circle to Birsa Munda Circle. Rahul Gandhi was applauded by a large number of people.
Today being the International Women’s Day, the Tribal sisters and Adivasi brothers dressed in traditional clothes performed Raas and welcomed him with Dhol Nagara. Congress leaders, activists, Seva Dal and Congress Mahila Morcho were also present in Dahod. From Dahod bus stand, Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra reached Sardar Patel Chowk via Swami Vivekananda Chowk, Birsa Munda Chowk, Yodgir Chowk. After leaving from there, the Yatra reached Santaram Road at two o’clock in the afternoon, where Congress leader Jairam Ramesh addressed a press conference. Gujarat State Congress President Shaktisinh Gohil, Gujarat Incharge Mukul Wasnik, Leader of Opposition Amit Chavda were also present in the press conference.
The press conference discussed the objectives of Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra, Rahul Gandhi’s MSP guarantee, youth, farmers, reservation, RSS and Narendra Modi. Jairam Ramesh said that the first statue of Sardar Sahib in Gujarat was installed by Nehru in Godhra. Jairam Ramesh said, “Rahul Gandhi first used the word ‘guarantee’ during the Karnataka elections.” Apart from this, Jairam Ramesh said, “Narendra Modi cannot directly talk about the removal of reservation, so he is calling RSS Mohan Bhagwat Sarsanghchalak on reservation.”
When will Congress announce Lok Sabha candidate? On this question Shaktisinh Gohil said that the ticket will be given as per the scheduled time. The journey resumed at 2 o’clock and reached Godhra. The procession reached from Godhra bus stand to police post number 7. Rahul Gandhi addressed a large number of Muslim brothers here. In the address, Rahul Gandhi exposed the relationship between BJP and industrialists.
Apart from this, he spoke on topics like youth, unemployment, government recruitment, 30 lakh jobs, paper not leaked. A reception was held at the Congress office at Kalol Panchmahal. The journey resumed from Halol Bus Stand Chowk and went up to Maharana Pratap Chowk. From here the yatra will reach Pavagadh foothills where Rahul Gandhi will bow at the feet of the mother. With mother’s blessings, Jodo Yatra will reach Jambughoda via Shivrajpur. The second day of Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra in Gujarat will end here and overnight stay at Jambughoda itself.
Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra visit will cover Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat and Tapi districts besides Dahod and Panchmahal. The 400 km long Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra in Gujarat will also cover 7 districts, 6 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state.
