Elvish Yadav, Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner, took on trolls who have hit out at him for chatting in a friendly manner with Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui.
Elvish and Munawar were recently seen bonding well at a charity cricket match in Mumbai. Munawar was seen clicking a selfie with Elvish. The picture has gone viral but has invited the ire of trolls.
Elvish has been slammed for being friendly with Munawar and has been questioned whether he is true to his religion. The trolling has irritated Elvish and he has retaliated.
“It was a charity match, everyone was doing everything sportingly, how can anyone expect me to bring personal hate and play spoil sport?. Everyone was chilling so was i,” Elvis has tweeted.
Elvish said that his talking to someone has nothing to do with his being a Hindu. No one had the right to decide whether he was a true Hindu or not, he added.
There are many things we may not like about each other. But we cannot get down to ‘gaalis’ and be rude, Elvish has said. “Pyaar mohabbat se cheezein chalni chahiye. I did nothing wrong…,” he said.
“Mai muh latka ke baith jau kya? Charity match tha vo. Akshay Kumar was also playing with Munawar so will people troll him too? When you go on a field, you have to show some sportsmanship. You need to show that you have come to play the game and not address enmity,” he said.
Incidentally, soon after his win in Bigg Boss 17, Munawar claimed that his Instagram live video broke records in terms of number of viewers. A few hours later, Elvish wrote on his social media handle the word ‘Record,’ indicating that his Instagram live had more viewers.
From then, relations between the two have been cool. Hence, when they were seen bonding recently it took their respective fans by surprise.
