Reports are circulating that Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, married to actor Ranveer Singh for over five years, is expecting her first child. A recent report by The Week suggests that Padukone is in her second trimester and preparing for motherhood. However, the couple has yet to confirm these claims.
Interestingly, this news follows reports that Padukone has opted out of the third season of the hit HBO show, The White Lotus. Last month, rumours were rife that she would be seen in the upcoming season, but recent reports indicate that she has decided against participating.
This isn’t the first time Padukone has been at the centre of pregnancy rumours. Last month, fans speculated about a possible ‘bump’ when she shared photos from the promotions of her film, Fighter.
Earlier this year, in an interview with Vogue Singapore, Padukone expressed her and Singh’s desire to start a family, stating, “Absolutely. Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family.”
On the professional front, Padukone has several projects lined up. She was last seen in Fighter, opposite Hrithik Roshan, and is rumoured to be a part of White Lotus season 3. She also has several films in the pipeline, including Kalki 2989 AD with Prabhas.
