In the 7th edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in a dialogue with “exam warriors” at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. The discussion encompassed various subjects, including mobile phone usage, parent-child dynamics, and academic stream selection.
PM Modi emphasized the importance of moderation in mobile phone usage, stating that “excess of everything is bad”. He encouraged students to limit their screen time. The event was attended by nearly 2 crore students, parents, and teachers. Following the event, the Prime Minister personally greeted the attendees.
Sharing his personal approach to mobile usage, PM Modi revealed that he only uses mobile phones when necessary and advised the addition of screen time alert tools. He also recommended that parents should be privy to their children’s mobile phone passwords.
The Prime Minister stressed that not just mobile phones, but excess of anything can be detrimental. He advocated for setting standards and exercising discretion in usage. He urged everyone not to shun technology but to harness it positively.
He further suggested the use of time-tracking tools and applications while using gadgets. He reminded everyone to respect their time while using mobile phones and to use technology wisely.
Addressing the students, PM Modi advised them to set small, achievable goals during exam preparation. He reassured them that gradual improvement in performance would ensure they are fully prepared for the exams.
