In a video conference on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Gujarat, stating it is becoming India’s leading medical hub. He highlighted the growth of medical colleges from 11 to 40 since 2002 and a fivefold increase in MBBS seats over 20 years. The PM emphasized the state’s progress in healthcare and inaugurated the Khodaldham Trust Cancer Hospital.
PM Modi focused on cancer treatment, ensuring patients face no issues. He mentioned the opening of 30 new cancer hospitals in the last nine years, with 10 more under construction.
Additionally, he lauded the establishment of around 1.5 lakh Ayushman Arogya Kendras, benefiting approximately six crore people through the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
