The Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, is all set to witness the Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22, 2024. The ceremony will mark the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla in the grand temple, which was built after a long legal battle over the disputed site.
As part of the preparations, the ‘Shri Ram Charan Paduka Yatra’ will leave from Chitrakoot on January 15, 2024. The Yatra will carry the sacred footprints of Lord Ram from Chitrakoot, where he spent 12 years of his exile, to Ayodhya, where he was born and ruled.
The Yatra will start from Bharatkup, Chitrakoot via Prayagraj and will reach Ayodhya on January 20, 2024. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform the rituals to mark the pran prathishta of the idol of Ram Lalla on January 22, 2024. A team of priests led by Lakshmikant Dixit will also perform the main rituals of the pran prathishta of Ram Lalla on the same day.
The Pran Pratishtha ceremony will be preceded by a week-long Vedic rituals, which will begin on January 16, 2024. There will also be a celebration of Amrit Mahotsav in Ayodhya from January 14 to January 22, 2024, to commemorate the occasion.
Several tent cities are being erected in Ayodhya to accommodate devotees, who are expected to arrive in the temple town of Uttar Pradesh for the grand Pran Pratishtha ceremony. The ceremony is expected to attract millions of Hindus across the world, who revere Lord Ram as their ideal.
