Ecom Express, a leading provider of technology-driven logistics solutions, has created a new position of chief commercial officer at Ecom Express, and has hired Pankaj Singh, former founder of a proptech start-up – Multiliving Technologies, to fill the role from 4th January, 2024.
Singh will be responsible for the company’s end-to-end procurement, including sourcing, spend management and strategic cost control of the supply chain, according to a press release from the company.
The new role and structure are part of Ecom Express’s efforts to build a stronger P&L orientation and a clear cost management strategy, the release said.
Singh has a remarkable track record as an entrepreneur, launching and running several successful ventures at the nexus of real estate and technology solutions.
He has managed multi-thousand crore spends for large brands in his previous roles. He was formerly the chief growth officer at The House of Abhinandan Lodha. Singh graduated from IIM-Ahmedabad in 2011.
“Pankaj’s extensive experience in running start-ups and his keen focus on driving cost efficiency will deliver concrete results and drive a bigger P&L impact for the company,” said Ajay Chitkara, chief executive officer and managing director of Ecom Express.
“We are confident that his leadership will take Ecom Express to new heights, strengthening our position as a leader in the logistics industry,” Chitkara said.
